hug digital identified that some of the most viewed content online in the Arab region is gaming related material (be it reviews, unboxing’s or live gameplay).

Magic Planet had invested heavily in transforming their venues away from ‘kiddy play centres’ to more credible and engaging teenage hangouts featuring thrilling rides as well as the latest franchised video and arcade machines.

Unbox ME represented a global first where a local gaming influencer (AA) would ‘Unbox’ Magic Planet’s latest and greatest new additions. Unbox ME took a familiar format from YouTube and allowed customers to see, feel and experience the latest attractions as seen through the eyes of a gamer…just like them

Results

  • Season 1 featured the Unboxing of 8 arcade games over a 3 month period.
  • The videos generated 460,000 views.
  • Season 2 just started, but the first unboxing of Moto GP garnered over 100,000 views.
